In writing before anything starts. If what we find changes the job, you approve the new figure before we carry on.
Two of those cards are the market rate rather than ours, and that is deliberate. An hourly rate tells you what the plumber earns, not what the job costs, and it puts the risk of a slow afternoon on you. We quote the whole job upfront instead, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
